Welcome to the annual Winter Festival where O/Modernt, international soloists, and the next generation of musicians from Lilla Akademien invite you to a feast of music-making.
Nico Muhly, the composer-in-residence for the 2026 edition of the Winter Festival, is known for his innovative blend of classical and contemporary styles. With a unique voice that resonates across opera, orchestral, and chamber music, Nico has captivated audiences worldwide. His works are characterised by lush harmonies, intricate rhythms, and a deep emotional core, drawing inspiration from literature, art, and personal experiences. As a collaborator with renowned artists and ensembles, he continues to push the boundaries of modern music, making him one of the most exciting composers of our time.
