At a time when many—young and old alike—feel anxious and have lost faith in the future and in our own ability to shape it, this year’s Lucia concert invites us to a story of longing, hope, and the dream of a brighter future.

Through the darkness, we follow Lucia toward the white light. Her wings carry a longing to soar, to see further, and to dare to believe that brighter times await. “White Light” lets us be inspired by wings that carry us to a place with a broader perspective, a safe haven, a magical dreamland—where an old-fashioned festival of light renews our ability to keep fighting and awakens new hope and faith in the future.

Lilla Akademien’s choirs, ensembles, soloists, and Chamber Orchestra will perform in this year’s atmospheric Lucia concert— White Light.
