New Generation Symphony Orchestra

Responding to an invitation from the Konzerthaus Berlin, in association with the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Young Euro Classics festival, O/Modernt joined forces with Lilla Akademien to create a new symphony orchestra.
The New Generation Symphony Orchestra consists of seventy-five musicians between the ages of sixteen and twenty-five, mainly from Scandinavia and the Baltic states.
The orchestra met for the first time in the Queen SIlvia Concert Hall on 10 August 2024 for a week of rehearsals. They subsequently played their premiere concert in Kungasalen at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm before travelling to Germany to perform in the main hall of Berlin’s Konzerthaus.
